What this covers

This Privacy Policy describes how MenuPi ("MenuPi", "we", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MenuPi platform, dashboards, players, and websites (collectively, the "Services").

Information We Collect

MenuPi collects only what is needed to run your workspace, deliver content to your screens, and bill your account. We do not buy or sell personal information, and we do not use your menus, schedules, or player telemetry to train third-party AI models.

We collect information you provide directly (account, billing, content you upload), information collected automatically (device, player telemetry, log data), and information from third parties (POS integrations, OAuth providers).

  • Account data: name, email, role, workspace membership.
  • Billing data: company, address, last-4 of card (processed by Stripe).
  • Content data: menus, media, schedules, layouts you upload to the Studio.
  • Player telemetry: device id, OS version, player uptime, last-seen timestamp, error logs.
  • Integration data: read-only feeds from connected POS, weather, or social sources.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the Services, authenticate users, deliver content to your players, bill your account, send transactional and (with consent) marketing communications, prevent fraud, and improve product performance.

How We Share Information

We share information with sub-processors that help us operate the Services (see the Subprocessors page), with payment processors for billing, with your workspace administrators, and where required by law or legal process. We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your workspace is active and for up to 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted or anonymized unless retention is required by law. Player logs are retained for 30 days. Backups are retained for 35 days on a rolling basis.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA/UK/California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure product usage, and (with consent where required) deliver advertising. You can control non-essential cookies via the cookie banner.

International Data Transfers

MenuPi is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and equivalent UK addendum) for cross-border transfers.

Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), role-based access control, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
